Description of Organization:
CNS Home Health & Hospice delivers a comprehensive, full-service home care program to assist individuals with acute healthcare needs in their home environment. CNS offers many programs including Hospice, Bereavement, Parish Nursing, Geriatric Assistance Program, Private Duty, Pharmacy, Behavioral Health and Intermittent nursing. Volunteers are the backbone of our agency and used throughout many of our programs.
Description of Service Learner Role:
We have a variety of opportunities for everyone!
Volunteers are needed in the following programs:
Hospice Assistant: Provide office support to staff by completing physician monthly mailings and patient visit reports.
Flu Clinics: Assist in organizing Flu Clinic program providing seniors flu shots throughout the
community. Attend Flu Clinics and help individuals fill out necessary paperwork. Evening
and weekend hours available.
"Birthday in a Bag" Coordinator: Our "Birthday in a Bag" program is designed to provide Hospice patients Birthday treats to celebrate their special day. Students can assist in identifying new schools and groups who would like to participate and commit to making these birthday bags.
Staff Education Assistant: Assist in organizing educational materials, grade tests, create orientation binders, manage Telehealth equipment.
