Description of Service Learner Role:
Our volunteers provide compassion, and care to our patients in need. Volunteers can also participate in our Passages Pooches program where they can bring their pet to meet the patients. Volunteers can also engage in music and art with their patients, if that is something that interests the volunteer. Volunteers can also help in our corporate office in Lisle. Volunteers can help with filing, data entry, writing thank you cards, etc. Our office volunteers are a great help, and whichever path you choose you will indefinitely be touching someone's life.
We require that our volunteers attend a training session that usually lasts from 9-4. We also require that volunteers get a physical, TB test, and consent to a background check.
