Description of Organization:
PRC exists to respond to basic human needs, promote dignity and justice, and create a future of hope and opportunity for the residents of DuPage County, Illinois through discovering and sharing personal and community resources. PRC has emergency services to assist with food, clothing and housing. We also have education programs in technology, literacy and art.
Description of Service Learner Role:
Assist in our Food Pantry: unpack boxes, restock shelves, sort donations, and guide shoppers as they make their way through the Food Pantry. The Food Pantry is a lively environment that offers continuous interaction with shoppers, other volunteers, and PRC staff.
Fill out a volunteer application at www.peoplesrc.org. Within 1-2 business days, an electronic waiver and orientation date options will be provided via email. After the waiver is completed and orientation is attended, a start date is set.
