Giving Garland Holiday Party

Thursday, December 7, 2017 (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Student Resource Center, Room 2000

All collected gifts will be wrapped by COD Cares Action Heroes at the annual Giving Garland Holiday Party. Last year, we wrapped more than 1100 gifts!  Enjoy egg nog, festive treats, and a screening of Home Alone. No need to purchase gifts in order to attend the party. The more, the merrier!

Additional activities include:

  • Writing holiday greetings to deployed military and home-bound seniors
  • Creating festive votive holders for local seniors
  • Preparing "reindeer food" for children to attract Rudolph and friends

Sign up to volunteer here: http://bit.ly/GivingGarland

We need people to wrap gifts AND help during the event in other ways, such as setup, checking in the Action Elves and making sure they have enough supplies, maintaining the treats table, distributing the unwrapped gifts/collecting the wrapped gifts, and "gift wrangling" (boxing the gifts to be sent on their merry way).

One-hour shifts are available between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
***NON-WRAPPING SHIFTS: You may select more than one.
***WRAPPING SHIFTS: Please select only one.

No need to purchase gifts in order to participate at the party. The more, the merrier!
