COD Alerts, COD Guardian and COD Eyewitness
What is COD Alerts?
COD Alerts is the college’s automated system for notifying you of school closings and other important information. You are automatically enrolled in the system when you register for a class and you remain in the system until three terms pass in which you have not enrolled. COD Alerts can send text messages to your cell phone, emails, and even play a recorded message on your phone.
To update your contact information for COD Alerts, log onto the InsideCOD Portal using your myACCESS username and password and click the link for “Emergency Alerts/COD Alerts” in the center column.
What is COD Guardian?
COD Guardian is a personal safety app for your mobile phone. The Guardian app, provided by Rave Mobile Safety, enhances safety on campus through a virtual safety network of friends, family, and campus police. More information can be found here: www.ravemobilesafety.com/rave-guardian/.
To download the app, search for Rave Guardian in either the iOS or Android app store.
What is COD Eyewitness?
COD Eyewitness allows you to anonymously submit a tip about crime or suspicious activity on campus. To send a tip, send a text to 67283. In the body of the text, type CODTIP, a space, and then your tip. You may also use the COD Guardian App to submit a tip.
For assistance with COD Alerts, COD Guardian, or COD Eyewitness, students may contact the Student Help Desk at (630) 942-2999 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
