Online Tutor: How it works
“Online Tutor” is a free service available to students who are enrolled in one of the courses listed in the drop-down menu on this page. These students who have a question about course content may find “Online Tutor” helpful.
Submit your question using your MyCOD e-mail account and a peer tutor working online in the COD Peer Tutoring Center (Learning Commons, SRC 2102) will reply to you via e-mail as quickly as possible. The time between your e-mailed question until the time you receive a response will vary depending on tutor availability. Most responses may take 1 or 2 working days, others may take longer. All efforts will be made to reply within 7 working days. Submit a question to Online Tutoring
Online Tutor Availability
“Online Tutors” are peer tutors who work in the COD Peer Tutoring Center (Learning Commons, SRC 2102) assisting students face to face and have specialized training to work online. During Fall and Spring Semesters, a maximum of 6 peer tutors will be working online. During Summer term, the maximum will be 3. To enhance tutor availability, tutors are scheduled to work online at varying times throughout the week and during peak weeks within academic terms. Some restrictions may apply due to availability. Face to face and online tutors do not work between academic terms and other days when COD classes are not in session.
