Student Leadership Academy
The DuPage Area Student Leadership Academy is designed to link local high school juniors and seniors with members of our local business community to help students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the workplace. Recommended by their school, students participate in four workshops during the school year.
Content includes goal setting, leadership skills assessment, time management, proper interviewing skills, resume writing, work attitude, diversity in the workplace, ethics and Internet site protocol. Sessions are facilitated by professionals from the local business community, including Cray Kaiser Ltd., MRxI Corporation, Weselak and Associates, Paulsen Productions, Accent HR LLC., Creative Strategies Inc., SNtial Tech Inc. and The Packer Foundation.

The academy is made possible through the support of the Illinois Community College Board grant, the DuPage Area Partnership for College and Career Success (PCCS), the College of DuPage Office of High School Partnerships, and the DuPage Area Occupational Education System (DAOES), as well as our area educational partners Lewis University-Oak Brook Campus, Midwestern University, Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT)-Rice Campus, DeVry University-Addison Campus, and Elmhurst College.
