Student Leadership Academy

What is it?

The DuPage Area Student Leadership Academy provides high school students with skills and knowledge necessary to be college and/or career ready. Students attend four workshop sessions throughout the year with their high school. Sessions are facilitated by professionals from the local business community; including Cray Kaiser Ltd., Weselak and Associates, Paulsen Productions, Accent HR LLC., and College of DuPage. Some content can include goal setting, time management, interviewing skills, resume writing, work attitude, diversity in the workplace, and advantages of social media.

Who participates?

DuPage high school students in their junior or senior year. There are several high schools that participate yearly, and new schools are also welcome.

How do I sign up?

Each school has a staff member that selects, organizes, and chaperones the group of students that attend. Everyone selected is required to attend all four sessions. Contact to find out if your school participates in the program, or how you can become a part of this great opportunity.

What did previous participants have to say about the program?

"This was a very good wake-up call for me to show how important certain things are in the business world."

"I hope this program is offered to my future children"
