This series of expert talks focuses on the topics of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Talks are held in the Fall and Spring semesters.
This yearly event welcomes students to COD to explore careers in engineering. The program includes presentations from industry representatives and is designed for both incoming COD students as well as COD students looking to transfer into a four-year university engineering program.
COD participates in this yearly conference by providing "Adventures" as well as on-site demonstrations and talks.
Similar to the Student Life Fair, this showcase will highlight STEM as well as Career/Technical
Education departments, programs, and student clubs to help raise awareness of current
programs and offerings for COD students. More information coming soon!
This event celebrates women in STEM careers and is designed for 8th-12th grade girls. It provides them with the opportunity to interact with positive role models and participate in hands-on activities in order to encourage more women to have positive experiences with STEM and to pursue STEM careers.
This annual event, sponsored by the Engineering Club, is designed to engage the young generation to seek interest in the field of engineering and in the College of DuPage.
Each year, the College of DuPage hosts a Regional Science Olympiads tournament at their Glen Ellyn campus. The purpose of Science Olympiads is to increase in science and improve quality science education.
Get Your Geek On! with this annual event designed to celebrate the wide variety of innovation in the STEM fields. The day long extravaganza offers an interactive and stimulating fair celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics and includes something for all ages and interests. Come for the knowledge. Stay for the fun.
These events are designs specifically by and for high school STEM educators and target specific areas of need, including content development and teaching skills enhancements, outreach opportunities, and more.
