Course Testing

Internet CourseTests

Some Internet courses require students to take their exams in the Testing Center.

Classroom Make-up Exams

Classroom make-up testing service is provided for individual students registered at College of DuPage, who are unable to take their tests in the classroom because of special circumstances such as illness or emergencies. Classroom make-up exam policies and guidelines have been established for faculty who intend to use this service. All tests are dropped off and picked up by the instructor. Make-up Testing is administered during normal Testing Center hours. All Testing Center Policies apply to students taking make-up tests.

Distance Testing

Distance Testing is available for students enrolled in COD Online Courses who are living in a location that is 50 miles or more from the Glen Ellyn campus.

Proctoring Guidelines and the Proctor Request form are available for downloading. It is important that students read the guidelines before locating an authorized testing site. They should fill out and sign the Proctor Request Form and take it to the proctor they have chosen. The proctor will fill out and sign their portion of the form and return it via email, U. S. Mail or fax to the Academic Testing Supervisor. All return information is on the form.

Students may be charged a fee for proctoring services at other locations and they may also be responsible for postage fees depending upon the guidelines of that institution.

The Testing Proctor Request Form must be completed no later than two weeks prior to the first exam date and preferably before the start of classes. Additional time may be required if the proctor needs to be approved by the instructor. If a Proctor Request Form is submitted less than two weeks before the first exam date, the College of DuPage Testing Center cannot guarantee the proctor will receive the exam in advance of the testing deadline.
