Schedule for Counseling & Advising

January 2015

First Time College Student

As a student enrolling for the first time in college, you will attend an overview of how to develop your educational plan. Additional information is provided about scheduling, key advising tools and success strategies for your first semester. Students need to submit ACT scores or have completed COMPASS placement testing (Reading & Writing) before attending.  Students must sign up in advance to attend a session.  Please contact Counseling & Advising to sign up.

Transfer Student to College of DuPage

If you are a student transferring into College of DuPage with more than fifteen (15) semester hours, you will meet with a Student Success Counselor. A copy of your transcript(s) is(are) required for your visit (they can be unofficial student copies).

Continuing Students in Good Standing

Continuing students in good academic standing (GPA 2.0 and above) will be served on a walk-in basis in the Counseling & Advising Continuing Student Lab. Students should bring a copy of their Degree Audit for their advising session.

Students with Academic Holds (Academic Difficulty)

Students with GPAs below 2.0 are required to meet with a Student Success Counselor to develop a two-term Student Educational Plan before registering each semester.  Beginning January 5, 2015, these services are available in a group format only.   Students must sign up in advance to attend.  Please contact Counseling & Advising to sign up.
