Schedule for Counseling & Advising
First Time College Student
As a student enrolling for the first time in college, you will attend an overview of how to develop your educational plan. Additional information is provided about scheduling, key advising tools and success strategies for your first semester. Students need to submit ACT scores or have completed COMPASS placement testing (Reading & Writing) before attending.
Transfer Student to College of DuPage
If you are a student transferring into College of DuPage with more than fifteen (15) semester hours, you will meet with a Student Success Counselor. A copy of your transcript(s) is(are) required for your visit (they can be unofficial student copies).
Continuing Students in Good Standing
Continuing students in good academic standing (GPA 2.0 and above) will be served on a Walk-In, First Come-First Served basis in Counseling & Advising. Students should bring a copy of their Degree Audit.
Students with Academic Holds (Academic Difficulty)
Students with GPAs below 2.0 are required to meet with a Student Success Counselor
to develop a two-term Student Educational Plan before registering each semester.
Beginning August 25, 2014, these services are available on a first come-first served
basis in Counseling & Advising.
