Department
of Operations and Maintenance
In order to effectively implement the Facilities
Master Plan, College of DuPage transitioned Campus Services into the
Facilities Operations and Maintenance department (FO&M), effective
July 1, 2004. The department is headed by John Wandolowski, director of FO&M.
The department is located in the BIC Annex on the east side of the college’s Glen Ellyn campus, north of the Berg Instructional Center (BIC).
Mission and Objectives College of DuPage Mission Statement
The Mission of College of DuPage is to be at the forefront of higher
education serving the needs of the community. The college will be the
first place residents turn to for the highest quality education and
cultural opportunities. The college will serve as a model of distinction
for community college education.
Facilities Operations and Maintenance Mission Statement The mission of the Facilities Operations & Maintenance
directorate is to provide a value proposition that includes first-in-class,
clean, safe and effective learning environments for our students, staff
and community.
FO&M also provides cost avoidance and control; trained, competent
and motivated staff; and the technical and engineering support to overcome
all challenges, both expected and unexpected. Objectives of Facilities Operations and Maintenance
• To be consistent with the objectives of FP&C in providing
and maintaining an outstanding physical environment in which residents
of the community can pursue the highest quality education and cultural opportunities.
• To continually monitor and improve the quality of services to
meet and exceed the needs of the C.O.D. community.
