College of DuPage to Host Adult Education Expo on April 18

The Continuing Education department at College of DuPage will host an Adult Education Expo from 9 a.m. to noon and again from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the College’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

This event is free and open to the public.

During this event, attendees will learn about free resources available to adult learners at COD, including Adult Basic Education (ABE), a program that prepares students to earn a General Education Development (GED) high school equivalency certificate; GED testing; the new Accelerating Opportunity program where eligible students can earn in-demand certifications and college credit; and the English Language Studies (ELS) program. In addition, attendees can enroll in COD classes, explore educational and career pathways, learn about diverse cultures, find inspiration through student success stories, and enjoy a student talent show.

Representatives from several of the College’s departments, including Admissions, Continuing Education, English Language Studies, Health and Sciences, Learning Commons and Manufacturing Technology will also be available to provide information and answer questions.

College of DuPage offers a broad range of programs and resources to adult learners who are interested life enhancement in personal and professional development.
