Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & Chief Organizational Culture Officer,
Nevien Shaabneh, Ph.D., is an expert on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Dr. Shaabneh is a keynote speaker and published novelist from the Chicagoland area.
She has traveled the country and conducted small and large-scale workshops, presentations,
training sessions, and consultations for a variety of organizations, schools, companies,
literary agencies, and conferences on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Dr. Shaabneh holds a M.A. in Education and a Ph.D. in Literacy, Language and Culture
with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion from the University of Illinois.
With more than 20 years of experience in education and DEI work, Dr. Shaabneh brings
a strong ability to analyze, develop, and implement practical initiatives to meet
and exceed organizational targets and goals in outreach and student belonging.
