This program will enable you to earn an architectural degree and become a licensed architect. As an architect, you will be responsible for the planning, designing and oversight of the construction of a building. This degree leads to transfer, typically to the junior year of a professional program. This Pre-Architecture associate’s degree is appropriate if you plan to transfer to professional architecture programs. Program requirements may vary depending on the transfer institution, so you should consult with an advisor for elective selections.

"COD has strong relationships with various four-year universities within and outside of Illinois, which allows students to transfer into a four-year program, finish their Bachelor's of Architecture degree and, if they so chose, move forward with their master's degree and licensing as an architect."Read Spotlight
"I still think about the first conversation I had with Jane Ostergaard, coordinator of the Architecture program, which had me imagine my architectural career beyond COD. From that conversation, I basically knew where I was going to end up if I went through this program the right way."Read Spotlight
"More than anything, COD allowed me to take a risk," Will Prescott said. "The instruction has been an individual experience where you can really connect with your professors. I'm more prepared than a typical university student and have a range of skills rather than one that's tailored to a specific school."Read Spotlight
