Long Term Care Program
The Long-Term Care Administration program at College of DuPage prepares students for administrative responsibilities in a variety of long-term care settings: nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health services, and other organizations serving the elderly and disabled.
The program is approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as meeting the eligibility criteria for the Illinois Nursing Home Administrators Licensure Examination. Selected courses may satisfy continuing education requirements for nursing home administrators, social workers and counselors.
The aging of the U.S. population has served as an impetus for growth in the long-term care industry. A certificate in Long-Term Care Administration will enhance the student's employment opportunities.
