I’ve always been grateful for every path that I’ve taken in life. I truly believe that College of DuPage was a path I needed to take. In the CNA program, I had the best professor, Carol Trotter. She taught us to not only go by the book but to go above and beyond. Because of the way she taught us, I can provide the best quality care for my patients. College of DuPage opened up doors for me to follow my dream.”

COD is like a second home to me, and I love being there. Add in the new buildings, especially the stunning Health and Science Center, complete with the four-bedroom Sim Hospital, and there is simply no other choice for me. I chose to do the greatest thing I ever could for myself: get an education. Therefore, I want to learn in the best possible place.”

"I don't think a day goes by that I haven't thought about my connection to COD and how it has changed my life. I have been able to share my story with a couple of clients, single mothers, and hope that it gives them the strength somehow, in some way, to continue their education for a better life. I don't think a day goes by that I haven't thought about my connection to COD and how it has changed my life."

"Everybody says how nursing is so hard and everybody is terrified when they first begin the program. Is it a lot of work? Yes. Is it impossible? No. You just need to be willing to put in the work."

"I have heard from many sources that if two graduates are equally qualified for a job, the employer will choose the COD graduate due to how well the COD program prepares their students."

"I decided to return to COD because I wanted to finish what I had started 25 years ago. I knew that the best value for my money would be at a community college, and COD has an excellent reputation for its Nursing program."
