License Requirements

Requirements for obtaining an Illinois Real Estate Broker License:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Successfully complete the following required coursework
(90 classroom hours):
Real Estate Broker Pre-License Topics (75 classroom hours)
REALE 1130 or PROED 1130 at COD
Real Estate Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles (15 classroom hours)
REALE 1131 or PROED 1131 at COD
- Pass the Illinois Real Estate Broker Examination
Requirements for obtaining an Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker License
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have a Real Estate Broker License for at least two years
- Successfully complete the following required coursework
(45 classroom hours):
Real Estate Managing Broker Pre-License Topics (30 classroom hours)
REALE 1138 or PROED 1138 at COD
Real Estate Managing Broker Pre-License Applied Management and Supervision (15 classroom
hours)
REALE 1139 or PROED 1139 at COD
- Pass the Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker Examination
