Student Spotlight: Srilatha Agrahar-Srinivasan
Major: Office Technology Information
Srilatha Agrahar-Srinivasan previously worked as an administrative assistant. It was her desire to improve her skills and return to the workforce that led her to College of DuPage and the Office Technology Information program.
So far, she has earned certificates in Word Specialist and Office Technology Information Essentials. Now she's pursuing the Executive Assistant associate's degree and plans to finish in May 2014.
"It makes me happy that COD is up-to-date in technological terms," she said. "I've had many opportunities to learn many new things. I like that COD is closer to my home and is a reputed college. I also like the collection of books in the COD Library."
Srilatha is looking forward to the career opportunities available to her once she completes her degree. She thanks College of DuPage for providing her with the tools to succeed and advises other students to stay on top of their work.
"I would like to tell other students to try and not to miss any class session," she said. "Also I would like to say that taking on-campus classes than online is more advantageous. Students get more exposure to what they are studying and more hands-on activity. Interaction with the instructors gives students a clearer and precise understanding of what they are studying. All of the instructors are dedicated to teach their students the best and students should make use of this."
