Tony Baranowski is a lifelong learner at College of DuPage.
He began attending in 1991 and landed his first accounting job in 1996. After earning his Accounting degree in 2003 and spending 12 years in that field, Baranowski decided to switch careers.
"I first became interested in computers in the early 1980s. I remember reading the Apple 2E or 2C owners manual every night before going to bed," he said.
Baranowski entered COD's Computer and Internetworking Technologies program and earned that degree in fall 2011. He's also finished several CIT certificates.
"The last time I checked, I had enough credits for three associate's degrees," he said.
Baranowski is now an IT assistant for a health care company. He is studying for the CompTIA Linux+ exams and soon will take the MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) exam.
"Coming to COD has been great," he said. "My parents first encouraged me to go here and some of my friends at that time were attending. COD helped me get my first accounting job, and I've made so many friends throughout the years."
