Microsoft Excel 2013 Essentials
Overview of Excel 2013, utilizing Microsoft eLearning modules and in-class instructor lead learning. Topics covered include:

Microsoft IT Academy
The Microsoft IT Academy Program provides College of DuPage faculty, staff, and students educational programs designed to deliver 21st century technology skills necessary to acquire certification and be competitive in today's rapidly evolving workplace. The IT Academy Program also provides educators and staff with professional development opportunities. This membership offers a world-class technology curriculum with lesson plans, eLearning, student projects, and assessments. To date, there are more than 10,000 IT Academy members in more than 160 countries. The workshop will provide an overview of the Microsoft IT Academy curriculum, lesson plans, and eLearning courses.
Using Video in Your Course
It's easy to add videos to your lessons, either in the classroom or in Blackboard
as a homework assignment. The college has resources available to create interactive
lessons using professional video.
Vast Academic Video Online is designed to bring the highest-quality video content in the following areas and more: art, architecture, business, counseling and therapy, dance, economics, education, ethnic studies, ethnography, gay and lesbian studies, health, history, humanities, law and public safety, literature, opera, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, science, theatre, and women's studies. You can link videos to Blackboard, if you need only a portion of the video you can "clip" what you want and post to your lesson.
NBC Learn, the educational arm of NBC News, is dedicated to making historic stories, images and primary source documents available on-demand. NBC Learn has already digitized more than 12,000 stories from the NBC News archives — one of the largest news archives in the world, dating back to the 1920s. In addition, collections are updated with current events every day, Monday through Friday, with stories from such celebrated programs as NBC Nightly News, the TODAY show; Meet the Press, Dateline NBC, as well as the networks of MSNBC, CNBC, and Telemundo.
TED-Ed believes passionately that ideas have the power to change attitudes, lives, and ultimately, the world. Within the growing TED-Ed video library, you will find carefully curated educational videos, many of which represent collaborations between talented educators and animators nominated through the TED-Ed platform. This platform also allows users to take any useful educational video, not just TED's, and easily create a customized lesson around the video. Users can distribute the lessons, publicly or privately, and track their impact on the world, a class, or an individual student.
