Financial Aid Dates

*IMPORTANT NOTES*

 

  1. Payment Policy @ COD - All students are required to pay their tuition and fees at the time of registration. Students may pay by cash, check or credit card. Students unable to pay in full must enroll in our convenient "Payment Plans". Students receiving financial aid (i.e., grants and loans) must enroll in the College's Deferred Payment Plan. Direct links to these payment options are found in myACCESS. Eligibility for the Deferred Payment Plan is dependent upon your financial aid status at the time you register.  
  2. Financial Aid refund checks - College of DuPage will no longer mail financial aid refund checks to students. Students will have two choices: sign up for the US Bank debit card or pick up their check at the Cashier's Office.
  3. Book Vouchers - Book vouchers will now be automated.  Students who are eligible to purchase their books against their financial aid will be able to go to any cash register in the Bookstore.  Note: Students will need to know their student ID number (not their social security number), have a valid Photo ID and their class schedule.

All completed and requested forms for Fall Semester 2014 must be submitted to our office to ensure a Financial Aid Award Letter in time for Fall Semester 2014.  Forms submitted after July 1st will continue to be processed for Fall Semester 2014.

Bookstore Charges to Grants

Eligible students may charge required books and supplies against their Federal Pell Grant for the Fall Semester 2014.  To be eligible a student must meet the following criteria:

    • Received your 2014-2015 Award Letter in your myACCESS account
    • Be enrolled for classes for the Fall Semester 2014
    • Have financial aid funds in excess of tuition costs
    • Be in good standing with Financial Aid
    • Have a Bookstore Authorization Form on file authorizing financial aid to be used in the Bookstore.  To check if you have an Authorization on file go to:

The earliest the 1st disbursement of loan funds will post to a student's
account, if enrolled in 16 week session classes. If you are not enrolled
in 16 week session classes, please click here for additional
disbursement information. Any refund generated will be available in
about 10 to 14 business days. Please Note:Checks are no longer
mailed. Checks must be picked up at the Cashiers Office. To be
eligible to receive a loan disbursement a student must:

  • Have accepted your loans in your myACCESS account
  • Have completed Entrance Loan Counseling
  • Have completed a Master Promissory Note
  • Be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours AND at least 6 credit hours worth of classes have started
  • Be attending and academically engaged in at least 6 credit hours
  • Be in good standing with Financial Aid
