Payment Plans

College of DuPage provides students the opportunity to make payments throughout the semester via one of our affordable payment plans. COD offers Active Payment Plans for students paying out of pocket and Deferred Payment Plans for students utilizing financial aid and/or finalizing financial aid paperwork**. All payment plan options require a down payment. The earlier you enroll in a payment plan, the lower the required down payment.

Enrollment Benefits

  • Pay your student account balance in convenient monthly installments
  • Set up automatic payments using a credit card, debit card, or electronic check
  • Receive email reminders about upcoming payments
  • Ability to opt into text alerts

Active Payment Plan Schedules

Students deemed ineligible for the deferred payment plan have the option to enroll in one of our active payment plans. A $25 non-refundable set-up fee will be charged at the time of enrollment.

**Students finalizing financial aid paperwork may be offered a deferred payment plan with three scheduled payments. Enrollment in this payment plan is granted to allow students additional time to complete the required financial aid paperwork. Once the student completes the required financial aid paperwork and is deemed eligible for financial aid, the student must enroll in a new payment plan.

Late Payments

Payments are due on the scheduled payment dates set forth in the payment plan agreement. Failure to make payments in accordance with the payment plan agreement will result in a late fee of $30 automatically assessed to the student account and the student may be dropped from his/her classes for the amount owed.

Student Email

Important communication regarding your payment plan will be emailed to your student email address throughout the semester. Some of the communication is time sensitive. You are responsible for reading the emails you receive on a timely basis. Examples of communications sent include: scheduled payment reminders, successful payment notification, failed payment notification, and installment amount change notification.
