Named after COD's founding President, Dr. Rodney K. Berg and completed in 1974, the Berg Instructional Center (BIC) contains classrooms and faculty offices.

Connected to the BIC is the Student Services Center (SSC). The SSC houses all student services in one location.

The BIC is a popular location for many general education classes.

There are several areas throughout the SSC and BIC where students can meet to work on homework or take a break between classes.

Most general education courses are taken within the classrooms at the BIC. On every floor, students will find labs, workshops, faculty and departmental offices, conference areas and classrooms. There are also spaces for students to relax and study in a variety of areas.

Connected to the BIC is the Student Services Center (SSC). The SSC houses all student services in a location called Campus Central. This is a one-stop shop for existing and prospective students to interact with:

Also located in this building are the COD Board Room, Student Life and activities, a Veteran's Lounge and a Starbucks.

The SSC is regarded as the College's "front-door." A two-story, spacious glass atrium serves as a central gathering place for current and prospective students and community members who want to study or socialize.

Completed in fall of 2011, the SSC is part of the $111 million Berg Instructional Center and Student Resources Center renovation project funded through proceeds from a successful 2002 capital referendum.
