For more than 50 years, College of DuPage has been committed to providing accessible, affordable and comprehensive education. During that time, COD has welcomed more than 1 million students seeking to improve their lives.
College of DuPage began with a few temporary buildings and rented space around District 502, causing the first students to drive from class to class and earning their nickname “roadrunners.” The College has since grown to the world-class teaching and learning environment.
The COD master plan has contributed significantly to achieving the vision of being the primary college district residents choose for higher education. The Master Plan Update provides information on 13 new or renovated facilities as well as road and landscape improvements.
The communities who support the College through local property taxes and the passage of two building referenda can take great pride in knowing that their community college campus is one of the finest in the country. Thanks to the generosity of citizens and careful management of resources, every square foot of space on campus is either new or newly renovated since 2005.
