Music Academy

The College of DuPage Music Academy

The Music Academy at College of DuPage offers private music instruction for community members at two levels of study. Our instructors have the experience, the knowledge and the passion to take your skills to the next level.

Learn the proper technique on the instrument of your choice and study music appropriate to your level of proficiency. Whatever your preference—Bach, Beethoven, the blues or simply the basics—the Music Academy has it all.

Music Quest

If you are looking to learn to play an instrument or are a casual musician who wants to explore your potential, you may wish to enroll in Music Quest. This program is for students of any age who would like to try something new and study music for fun. Private lessons are available on the following instruments: piano, voice and guitar. Please inquire about additional instruments.

Music Quest
$34 per 30-minute session, 8 sessions
Lessons are taught in studios at the McAninch Arts Center on campus in Glen Ellyn.

Music Masters

If you are a more serious musician who wants to be challenged and pushed to reach your maximum potential, then the Music Masters program is for you. Our faculty members ares some of the finest musicians in the Chicago metropolitan area and have performed in such distinguished venues as Carnegie Hall and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Private lessons are available for the following instruments: cello, clarinet, double bass, flute, French horn, guitar, harp, jazz bass, oboe, percussion, piano and jazz piano, pipe organ, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, tuba, viola, violin and voice.

Music Masters
$44 per 30-minute session, 8 sessions
Longer time formats for lessons are available.
Lessons are taught in studios at the McAninch Arts Center on campus in Glen Ellyn.
