Who is the HSE program for?
Adults age 16 and over who:
- Lack a high school diploma
- Have good reading skills
- Need to prepare to earn a high school equivalency certificate
Note: Those who are 16 or 17 years of age must have official high school withdrawal letter.

What you'll learn:
You'll receive instruction in the five areas covered on the tests:
- Social studies
- Interpreting literature and the arts
- Writing skills
Instruction is also offered on the U.S. and Illinois Constitutions, and a test covering these areas must be passed if it was not passed in high school
