Program Details

Level 1 Certification is awarded after passing both written and practical exams and obtaining a current adult CPR/AED.

Level 2 Certification is awarded after successfully completing your Level 1 exams and finishing the 30 hour internship. Students will be given a list of participating sites to complete internship. Alternate locations may be approved through WITS. There is no additional cost for this valuable internship experience.

Materials
A complete, 200-page student workbook is included in the course. The required textbook, Fitness Professional's Handbook 7th Edition Author: Howley, must be purchased by the student. An e-book format available.

Jobs for fitness instructors and personal athletic trainers are expected to increase faster than average, by 24 percent through the year 2020, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Salaries vary greatly based on many factors and can range from $17,070 to $63,400.
