Graduates can recognize how sociologists understand and analyze the social world, commonly described as “the sociological imagination.” This includes how social institutions such as family, education, politics, economy, religion, and mass media shape stratification and individual mobility. They can apply social science methods of inquiry and identify causes and variations of social inequality and diversity.
Foundations of Data Science
Graduates of the Foundation of Data Science Certificate program are expected to meet the following objectives:
- Describe the different steps in the data analysis process.
- Use the tools of data analysis.
- Compare and contrast different research methods.
- Apply statistical techniques appropriately.
