Fall Math and Geometry Placement

COVID 19 Info – Math Placement for Fall 2020

You may not need to take a Math Placement test if you have one of the following:

  • A prerequisite math course with a grade of C or higher. For math classes taken at another institution, transcripts must be submitted and evaluated by the Office of Student Records.
  • A previous College of DuPage ALEKS PPL score that is less than one year old.

Our testing facilities are currently closed due to COVID-19. This unexpected change has impacted our normal process for testing incoming Fall 2020 students. Temporary Math Placement policies and procedures are now in place allowing ALEKS PPL tests to be taken at home unproctored.

Reminders When Taking an ALEKS PPL Test

  1. Take your test without using outside resources. (calculator, technology, books, notes, person, etc.)
  2. Take your time. Allow at least 60 minutes to complete the test.
  3. Have plenty of scratch paper available to work out each problem.
  4. Once an answer is submitted, you cannot go back.
  5. Minimum 24-hour waiting period between tests and scores are valid for one year.
