Virtual NSO Need to Know

Due to COVID-19, New Student Orientation is offered virtually for Fall 2020 to keep in compliance with State guidelines and maintain the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff.

Once you sign-up you will receive a confirmation email with the virtual access link (from Zoom) for your chosen day.

Yes, there is a separate virtual orientation session for parents/guardians/family members. When you sign-up, please indicate the name and email of the individual interested in attending the Parent/Family Orientation. You can also find more information on the Parent/Family Orientation page.

No, you do not. If possible, we do encourage you to use your camera or microphone in order to connect with other new students.

No, there is no fee for Orientation- it is free!

Yes, you can attend. However, advising and registration for classes is not part of Virtual NSO. Therefore, we encourage you to register for classes prior to attending.

Various departments from the college will be available to answer questions on a drop-in basis and inform students about the resources and programs they offer. Visit the VNSO Agenda page to see a list of participating departments.

Your opportunity to interact and connect with your Orientation Leaders to find out about their student experience. Have fun, ask questions, and meet other new students!
