INAHSI LLC (dba. INAHSI NATURALS) is Personal Care Product Company that provides chemist formulated hair care solutions to an underserved population. Their products are designed for naturally curly hair and uses mostly natural and/ or plant-based ingredients.
In early 2021, Brian Marshall, the company’s COO, was referred to Illinois SBDC International Trade Center at College of DuPage by EXIM bank for local export support. After having the introductory meeting, working capital and export plan building were identified as the two key areas that require immediate assistance.
INAHSI was quickly connected to SBA for its Export Working Capital Program, which later allowed them to obtain a line of credit to help with their Working Capital needs; they were also introduced to EXPORTECH, a nationwide program offered by ITC at Champaign County EDC in partnership with College of DuPage. By working with the COD Business Development Center, INASHI received help in market research, export planning, and the necessary follow-up actions to move forward.
