The mission of MARCH is, quite simply, "To improve the lives of veteran and active-duty military families." Owner, Tom Aiello was referred to us through the US SBA Office, Region 5 in November 2013. Tom was struggling with their System for Award Management (SAM) migration. Our office assisted Tom in a successful migration and then moved forward in further assisting him in multiple advising sessions to pursue federal contracting. With the efforts of the PTAC, the client expressed, "We were blown away by the support by the Procurement Technical Assistance Center at the Business Development Center at College of DuPage. The quality of their analysis and expertise were like having an in-house contracting department full of experts."
Client had initiated efforts within Illinois contracting utilizing their veteran business status. Discussed various methods of engaging at the federal level with client, including utilizing the OSDBU's within federal agencies. Created a bid match profile for client to monitor all contracting at various levels of government. Client has a representative of the company located in the DC area so connected electronically from our office so that we can advise to better understand the federal contracting system and how they can better engage with a more thorough understanding. With our guidance client was able to win a substantial contract award.
