When her search for relief and wellness therapies similar to what she was accustomed to in the East led to a dead end in the US, Yue Pu’s entrepreneurial spirit and deep desire to share what she knew about healing led her to think outside the box and establish Mellow Metta Wellness – a unique wellness clinic that combines Western Science with compassion, and the wisdom of Eastern Traditions to treat and heal the human body holistically.
Yue’s (Yoo-eh) education and expert training in the US, China, and Thailand afforded her with skills to develop a unique style that promotes healing from chronic pain and injuries through relaxation and therapeutic massage. Knowing firsthand what it’s like to struggle with pain and search for relief due to her own struggles with multiple spinal injuries including multiple herniated and bulging discs, scoliosis, and neuropathy for years, it has become her life’s mission to share her brand and expertise of nonaggressive, authentic, and holistic healing modalities to a hurting world.
On her journey with her business earlier this year, Yue initially sought out the services of the Illinois SBDC at College of DuPage with concerns about her marketing strategy. With the assistance she received from her assigned SBDC advisor David Lezondra, not only did she receive timely information to help her market her business, but she also received advice and valuable resources that helped paved the way for her decision making regarding her clinic’s brick and mortar location and the funding she received to open her business at Naperville, IL in May of this year.
“David is really compassionate and always ready to help whenever I turn to him.”
