Financial Aid Dates

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application typically opens Oct. 1 and closes on June 30 every year.  Since student aid is limited, you must follow all FAFSA application deadlines in order to use your funds for your education.

This is the last day eligible students can use available financial aid funds in the Bookstore for Fall Semester 2023.

The 2024-2025 FAFSA application will be available.

Archived Dates

Eligible students may charge required books and supplies against their financial aid for the Fall Semester 2023. Students must be in Good Standing, have a Financial Aid Offer Letter in their Financial Aid Self Service and available funds for books.

This is the earliest the following financial aid funds will be disbursed to your student account to cover any outstanding tuition and/or book charges for Fall Semester 2023. 

  • Pell, MAP and SEOG Grants
    Students who are enrolled in 2nd 12-week or 2nd 8-week sessions will have their grants disbursed after each session starts and attendance is confirmed.
  • Scholarships
    Students who are enrolled in 2nd 12-week or 2nd 8-week sessions will have their Scholarships disbursed after each session starts and attendance is confirmed.

Any grant funds in excess of tuition and/or book charges will be refunded to you in about 10 to 14 business days later. Students are encouraged to sign up for eRefunds

This is the earliest the Federal Direct Loan funds will be disbursed to your student account to cover any outstanding tuition and/or book charges for Fall Semester 2023. 

  • Federal Direct Subsidized, Unsubsidized and PLUS Loans
    • Scenario 1: Students who are enrolled in at least 6 eligible credit hours for 16-week, 1st 12- week, or 1st 8-week sessions.
    • Scenario 2: Students who are enrolled in at least 6 eligible credit hours for only the 2nd 12-week of 2nd 8-week session will not have their loans disburse until after those sessions have started and attendance is confirmed.
    • Scenario 3: Students who are enrolled in a combination of a 16-week, 1st 12-week, 1st 8-week session, 2nd 12-week, or 2nd 8-week session will not have their loans disburse until after 6 eligible credit hours have started and attendance is confirmed.

Any loan funds in excess of tuition and book charges will be refunded to you in about 10 to 14 business days later. Students are encouraged to sign up for eRefunds
