Criminal Investigation for New Detectives

Recently promoted or assigned detectives can prepare for career success with this interactive, two-day program on the investigative process. Instruction focuses on the development of the detective's working philosophy, honing of critical thinking skills and role in the organization. Explore crime reconstruction using the scientific method, logical reasoning, sources of information, criminology and victimology. Learn a methodical, systematic and orderly process for crime scene analysis. Instruction also includes ethics, confidentiality, appropriate documentation, report writing, search and seizure, rules of evidence, surveillance, and court case preparation and presentation.
