NIMS Compliance Officer

The National Incident Management System (NIMS) requires that each jurisdiction appoint a Compliance Officer. This individual is responsible for the oversight of the department or organizational NIMS reporting. And training is only one portion of the compliance puzzle. This program will provide participants with the knowledge and tools to ensure NIMS compliance in the face of a "spot audit" conducted by either the state or Federal government. This program will guide participants in promoting a local program to ensure successful grant seeking. This course is appropriate for all levels of staff including program volunteers in emergency management programs. The course will lead participants to identify and articulate a grant strategy for their program.
