In honor of World Mental Health Day, COD’s Marketing and Communications Department premiered a new documentary “Lifelines: Find Your Balance On Your Path To Mental Health.”
Broken into five chapters, “Lifelines” explores the pressures facing students today, identifies signs and symptoms of various mental illnesses, outlines avenues for seeking treatment and shares students’ stories detailing personal struggles.
COD alumna Amy Rubio, pictured left, and current COD student Kayleigh Yarbrough, pictured right, both share their personal mental health journeys and how getting helped may have saved their lives.
Also featured are COD Mental Health Counselors Silvia Donatelli and Dennis Emano, Dean of Student Affairs Nathania Montes, Human Services Professor Jason Florin and external health experts from Northwestern Medicine, Central DuPage Hospital and the DuPage County Health Department.
