The Wheaton resident, who first became chair in 2023, previously served as Vice Chair and has held a variety of roles since first being elected to a six-year term in April 2017 and re-elected for a second term in April 2023. Fenne also served as Board Secretary, on the Board’s Auxiliary and Outreach Committee, on the Presidential Search Committee, and as the Board’s Strategic Long Range Plan liaison. She also served as Board Chair in 2021 following the resignation of Frank Napolitano.

“It is a privilege to serve the College of DuPage community, and I look forward to continuing the Board’s work to craft the future of the institution,” Fenne said.

In addition, Trustee Florence Appel of Lombard was re-elected to serve a one-year term as Board Vice Chair and Trustee Andrew Manno of Aurora was re-elected to serve as Board Secretary.

The Board also welcomed newly seated trustees Thomas Tumminaro of Wheaton and Maria Sinkule of Addison, and incoming Student Trustee Isabella “Luna” Escobar of West Chicago. Sahin “Sonny” Jutla of Roselle, who was named to the Board last year when Heidi Holan moved out of district, was elected to complete the remaining two years of Holan’s term.

Outgoing trustees Annette Corrigan and Maureen Dunne were recognized for their service, along with outgoing Student Trustee Anam Sultana.
