College of DuPage invites community members to attend the inaugural event in President Dr. Muddassir Siddiqi’s Presidential Lecture Series featuring Dr. Peter Felten from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd. The event is free and open to the public.
Felten is a professor of history, executive director of the Center for Engaged Learning and assistant provost for teaching and learning at Elon University in North Carolina. A nationally recognized leader in higher education, Felten has authored seven books on undergraduate education, including “Connections Are Everything: A College Student’s Guide to Relationship-Rich Education.” His forthcoming book, “The SoTL Guide: (Re)Orienting the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning,” will be published in late 2025. Felten also serves on the advisory board of the National Survey of Student Engagement and is a fellow of the Gardner Institute.
