Our Mission: to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community.
Description of Service Learner Role
Service Learners will learn how to provide new families with tours and introductions to GiGi's Playhouse. The Playhouse provides a fast paced environment with numerous learning opportunities about what it takes to run a successful non-profit organization. Service Learners are also able to assist with math and literature tutoring as well as help out as Program Leaders. Outreach into the community, such as schools and hospitals, may also be an option.
Service Learners will be required to attend an interview/orientation with site coordinators. A background check is required for those interested in one on one tutoring with students.
