Students

Services

Career Services assists students with the job and internship search process by equipping students with the appropriate tools and resources to secure current or future employment. Career Services engages students early in their time at College of DuPage to help them develop an employment plan and works with students to develop job search strategies and documents. Career Services assists students through individual appointments, class presentations, workshops, materials and social media.

Schedule an appointment

To schedule an appointment with Career Services, please call (630) 942-2230. Appointments are generally scheduled for one hour sessions.

Clients who arrive 10 minutes after the start of a ½ hour appointment or 20 minutes after the start of a 1 hour appointment will forfeit their appointment time and will be marked as a no show. Career Services reserves the right to revoke appointment eligibility for clients with 3 or more consecutive no show appointments. An appointment canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time will also be considered a no show. Individuals may still attend workshops, Career Fairs, and access online resources such as Chaps Get Hired until the next semester. Semester is defined as the start and end of 16 week classes in the Fall & Spring and 10 week classes in the summer.

The Career Services Center may experience peak periods throughout the semester in which current students utilize our services. As a result, our alumni and community member offerings may be limited. It is recommended alumni and community members call before coming to campus to inquire about availability of appointments.

Electronic Resume Review

Career Services will also review your resume electronically.  If you are interested in utilizing this service, please email your resume as a Microsoft Word or PDF document to csc@cod.edu.  Please allow one week for review.
