Counselors offer assistance for students experiencing a crisis. Students experiencing a crisis may feel extremely distressed, overwhelmed, depressed, hopeless, or angry.

During Regular Hours:

Same-day consultation services are available during our regular hours.

  • Contact the Counseling, Advising  and Transfer Center by visiting the Student Services Center (SSC), Room 3200, or by calling (630) 942-2259

After Hours:

If the Counseling, Advising, and Transfer Center is closed and you are experiencing a crisis, contact the College of DuPage Police Department at ext. 2000, or your local police department if off campus.

If you believe that your concerns require immediate attention, but you are not experiencing an emergency, one of the following crisis hotlines may assist you:

  • DuPage County Crisis Hotline: 630-627-1700
  • Rape Crisis Hotline: 630-971-3927
  • National Sexual Assault Hotline: 1-800-656-HOPE (4673)

Please note that e-mail is not always appropriate if you are contacting us when a timely response is critical.

If you are experiencing a life-threating situation, dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
