While attending college can be filled with excitement, change, and growth, it can also bring some challenges and emotional distress.
The Counseling, Advising, and Transfer Center offers short-term, personal counseling to admitted College of DuPage students at no additional cost. Personal counseling services are designed to support the well-being and academic success of students. We provide a safe and supportive space for students to talk about emotional, interpersonal, or academic concerns with a counselor. Counselors are objective, skilled listeners who help students clarify their concerns, explore their goals, and strengthen their strategies for coping.
We also provide crisis intervention and educational programming to the campus community. We assist students connect with community resources when needed and appropriate, or when a student could benefit from longer-term services.
We do not provide services that involve or require competency evaluation and testimony in court.
Counseling services are confidential and not a part of a student’s educational record.
