Coronavirus (COVID-19) Guidance

On Friday July 24, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) provided updated guidance for F-1 international students for the fall semester 2020. Please find below a summary of the new guidance as it pertains to enrollment at College of DuPage:

Continuing Students inside the U.S. in an Academic Program: The updated guidance will allow for full time enrollment in courses taught online. This means you will be allowed to take your fall courses in any combination of instructional format including online (NET), virtual classroom meetings (VCM) or hybrid (HYB). The new guidance does NOT require students to enroll in a hybrid course.

Continuing Students inside the U.S. in the English Language Studies Program: The updated guidance will allow for full time enrollment in courses taught in our virtual classroom meeting format (VCM). This means you will be able to continue your studies full time in our English Language Studies program in the VCM format for the fall term.

Continuing Students outside the U.S. in an Academic Program: The updated guidance will allow you to return to the U.S. to continue your studies at College of DuPage and enroll full time in courses taught online. This means you will be allowed to take your fall courses in any combination of instructional format including online (NET), virtual classroom meetings (VCM) or hybrid (HYB). The new guidance does NOT require continuing students to enroll in a hybrid course.

If you choose not to return to the U.S. at this time or you are not able to return, you can still choose to continue your studies at College of DuPage from your home country and your SEVIS record will remain in Active Status. You must be enrolled full time for this option.
