Throughout this special month, Veterans Services is excited to bring you a series of events and activities that aim to celebrate, support, and honor our veterans and military families.
Yellow ribbons will line the campus perimeter to remember all who have served in war and peacetime.

Collection Drive for Operation Support Our Troops
Wednesday, Nov. 1 through Monday, Dec. 4
Veterans Services, Student Services Center (SSC), Room 2225
In collaboration with COD Cares Gift of Giving, Veterans Services will be collecting OSOT’s most needed items for our deployed military members. Drop-off bins will be in the Veterans Services Office, SSC 2225, the TEC main entrance in front of TEC 1034, the HSC lobby, and near the entrance of the Bookstore.
Career Research Using Your MOS

Choosing a career can be challenging however, learning how and where to research can help. This webinar will cover several valuable websites, including Career Coach, where you can explore career summaries, local wages, employment projections, and other helpful information to explore potential career paths. Additionally, it will be demonstrated how veterans can use their MOS code to identify civilian equivalent job titles.

Healing Hidden Wounds of War

This event is dedicated to addressing the critical topic of mental health within the veteran community. Explore a comprehensive mental health fair featuring resource tables offering informative materials about their services. Experience the therapeutic comfort of therapy dogs as well as self-care breaks throughout the event. Bring your lunch and engage in a thought-provoking panel discussion with veterans who will share their personal journeys and insight on mental health.
This event will be co-sponsored by the Student Veterans Association.
Career Services Webinar: Making a Civilian Resume with Military Experience

While there is no "one size fits all" resume, there are a number of universal tips and guidelines that we like to share with students. Join our webinar to learn about options for getting started and strategies you can take to feel confident in the document you create. During this session military examples will be used and how to present the information in a civilian job search. Bring your questions for this helpful resume discussion.
