The Animation degree is a cross-disciplinary effort between several programs at COD, including MPTV. Starting with the basics of drawing and cartooning and continuing on to advanced techniques of 3-D computer modeling, compositing and animating, this degree is designed to prepare students interested in animation or motion graphics for gaming, film or TV.

“As a child, I was enthralled with animation from the time I first saw Disney and Warner Brothers animation. Back in 2003, when I first graduated from COD, there wasn’t an Animation program. It was time for me to expand my educational horizons and, in 2013, I enrolled in the program. I continue coming back to COD because it is up-to-date with the latest software, computers, technology and equipment. I also like the teacher-to-student ratio in the classroom.”Read Spotlight
"I thrive on the critiques of others. What I’m trying to get across in my story, I want to make sure the audience understands it. The instructors in the Animation program either have worked or are working in the industry, and they pass along that experience to us. They also have great contacts within the industry."Read Spotlight
"Animation is something you have to put your heart into. If you really want to make a cartoon or do special effects for the movies, it's a great place to start. The staff at COD is amazing and always supportive. I say if you're into animation, then look no further."Read Spotlight
