Major: Paralegal Studies
Nicholas Cichon was working as a legal assistant when he began thinking about advancing his career.
“I had graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, and once I decided to advance my career, I became very interested in getting a paralegal certificate,” he said. “After doing research, I decided to go to COD because it is a well-known ABA (American Bar Association)-approved program and affordable. COD’s program also allowed me to still work full time while being enrolled in classes.”
After completing his Paralegal Studies certificate, Cichon was promoted to junior paralegal.
“The Paralegal program gave me the education and the skills to be successful in my current position,” he said.
Cichon now works as a case manager at JAMS, which offers alternative dispute resolution services. He provides case management services and administrative support to judges and attorneys.
Because of his positive experience at COD, he highly recommends the Paralegal Studies program to prospective students.
