Major: Hearing Instrument Dispensary
Laura Kruppe was looking for a program that would use her backgrounds in science and health care.
With a bachelor’s degree in biology from Adrian College in Michigan, she discovered the Hearing Instrument Dispensing certificate program at College of DuPage.
“I had heard a lot of great things about COD,” she said. “I also have family members with hearing loss. Knowing that I can help my family hear better made me want to learn about this program.”
It turned out to be the perfect fit for her. Having earned her certificate, Kruppe is currently working as a hearing instrument specialist.
This program has an amazing group of professors who will make sure you are ready for career.

“I have been able to help so many people hear better. It’s been an amazing experience,” she said. “I hope to continue to work with my patients and help the world hear!”
As for COD, Kruppe highly recommends the program and praises the knowledgeable faculty.
“COD was a great learning environment,” she said. “This program has an amazing group of professors who will make sure you are ready for career. They did a fantastic job of making the material fun and relatable to what you will encounter in the field.”
