Lasting more than three weeks, long-term courses allow for an extended exploration of subjects in a global context and a broader understanding of other people and cultures. Typically occurring in the summer or for a full semester, long-term programs are diverse in destinations, in number of credits earned and in the array of subjects offered. Some long-term summer programs are COD-faculty led. Others a hosted by our partner colleges and organization. Both allow you to participate and earn COD credit. Participation eligibility rules may vary by program.
Coordinated by colleges or organizations other than COD, partner programs allow COD students to study abroad for a summer or semester in many places and a wide variety of subjects. Work with us to find the right program for your academic, professional, and personal goals. Below are some of the most popular programs.
In general, students are eligible for semester abroad upon completion of 12 credit hours at COD with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0. Additional participation eligibility rules may vary by program. Schedule an appointment with us to learn more about semester abroad.

Meet Passport Requirements
If you do not have a passport, or your passport expires within six months of the program dates, you MUST apply for a passport or renew your passport immediately. Passports can take up to four months to obtain. Do not wait until you are accepted into the program.Contact Information
